WILL A CAREER PLAN REALLY HELP INDIVIDUALS CHOOSE THE RIGHT EDUCATIONAL FOCUS AND THE RIGHT COLLEGE?
One must know the right career to pick the right college that has the right educational focus to prepare for the right career. The career assessment collects aptitude, personality, and approach to work data to match individuals with the right career. It is that simple, leading individuals to move forward with focus and great confidence that they are on the right track.
HOW IS YOUR CAREER ASSESSMENT DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?
The traditional and older science approach has sentences to which you “strongly agree”, “somewhat agree”, etc. In contrast, the YouScience™ assessment uses a series of “brain games” and gamification exercises to collect information on how an individual is wired. The most common reaction is that the assessment is surprisingly fun. It is exceedingly difficult to choose answers that fool the assessment. The YouScience™ assessment scientifically uncovers God-given aptitudes versus self-reported skills and interests used in the older career assessments.
ARE THE BENEFITS WORTH THE COST?
The average college student is now graduating in five years instead of four because of the lack of clarity on their most fulfilling career and right college major selection. Our plan provides that clarity and helps students graduate and enter the marketplace on time. Risking an extra year of tuition and board and losing a year of a $50,000 average salary is exceedingly more costly than our career plan. Last, how does one quantify the cost, frustration, and pain of being in an unfulfilling career?
HOW MANY "STRONG” CAREER RECOMMENDATIONS WILL SOMEONE RECEIVE?
The average is 12-24 out of the 1,110 careers in the Department of Labor’s database. Clients always discover suitable occupations about which they have never known or considered. Clients leave with a strong confidence in a vision of living life with a fulfilling career.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE CAREER PLAN?
Each of the four career plans include video content, a career assessment, personal application time, and some plans include online coaching. The career assessment for all career plans takes 90 minutes, while other sections vary depending on the plan. Below is a time breakdown by plan based on average client completion.
Basic Career Plan: 4.25 hours
Essential Career Plan: 6.5 hours
Premium Career Plan: 8 hours
Ultimate Career Plan: 9 hours
HOW DO THE CAREER PLANS WORK?
The career plans are broken down into four sections. In the first section clients solidify their foundation by gaining clarity of purpose, priorities, and God’s will for there work. Some non-profits have decided to teach this section themselves to those they serve, and we are highly supportive of that. Section two involves clients completing a work and education questionnaire, a communication upgrade tool, and then the scientifically proven and gamified YouScience™ assessment. In section three clients receive video teaching and personalized coaching to help them discover their best career fit. Finally, in section four clients receive video teaching and personalized coaching to help them get a job in their best career fit.
HOW DO INDIVIDUALS GET SPECIFIC COLLEGE MAJOR OR TRADE EDUCATION ADVICE NEEDED FOR IDEAL CAREER PREPARATION?
The college and university database reveals what colleges or universities have the majors that best prepare for the ideal or a related career. This feature saves enormous amounts of search time.
WHAT ROLE CAN PARENT(S) PLAY IN CAREER PLANS?
We recommend parents attend all coaching sessions. One of the benefits of the assessment is that both the parent(s) and the student will learn about the student’s hidden and undeveloped aptitudes leading to greater self-awareness, confidence, and direction.
WHY DO YOU FOCUS SO MUCH ON APTITUDES?
The right way for someone to pick a career is to understand his aptitudes (see above), let the technology match him with the occupations that need and use his aptitudes, evaluate his interest in the career suggestions, and then pick the best career for him. Leaning primarily on interests will lead the client in the wrong and frustrating direction.
WHY DO THE CAREER PLANS HAVE A CHRISTIAN OVERLAY?
The Bible is the foundational source for how we are to live our lives. Scripture clearly shows us what our purpose is, how we should arrange our priorities, and what God desires from our work. It is imperative for individuals to understand God’s design of work for their lives so that they can successfully identify their best career fit.
